Classic style compression therapy. Easy to apply, these stockings are one of the most comfortable medical hosiery ranges available in the UK.
Thigh with waist attachment
This garment is particularly suitable for those who require their stockings to be held in place with an integral belt. They are available in an 18-24mm Hg compression strength and widely used following vein treatment procedures.
Indications
Class I – Light Support (Compression at ankle 14-17mm Hg)
Indications: Superficial or early varicose veins, varicose veins during pregnancy Other indications; post operatively and for long distance travel to help prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in normal risk groups.
Class II – Medium Support (Compression at ankle 18-24mm Hg)
Indications: Varicose veins of medium severity, venous ulcer treatment and prevention of occurrence and recurrence, mild oedema, varicose veins during pregnancy. Other indications; post operatively and for long distance travel to help prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in higher risk groups.
Class III – Firm Support (Compression at ankle 25-35mm Hg)
Indications: Gross varices, gross oedema, severe venous insufficiency, post thrombotic venous insufficiency and in the treatment and prevention of venous ulcers.
Contra-indications
Credalast® compression stockings should not be worn by anyone suffering from the following:
• Significant arterial disease (ischaemia) following vascular assessment
• Existing acute inflammatory episodes
• Acute deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
• Known sensitivity to the fabric of the stocking which includes elastane and nylon
• Peripheral neuropathy
• Congestive cardiac failure
• An ankle-brachial pressure index (ABPI) of less than 8 unless under strict medical or specialist supervision with regular follow up
Patients with diabetes or rheumatoid arthritis unless after specialist referral and under strict medical or specialist supervision with regular follow up

Warning and Precautions
Credalast compression stockings are intended for single patient use
• Ensure that your footwear is in good condition as shoes that have protruding nails or cracked soles may damage the stocking fabric
• Care should be taken when applying hosiery over bony prominences and thin legs to avoid damage to the skin and circulation
• Thigh length styles have a silicone grip top to maintain the stocking in the correct position on the leg
• Do not turn down the top of your stocking
Measuring and selecting the correct size hosiery
Where possible, measurements should be taken early in the day or
when the leg has been rested and swelling is at a minimum.
Please take measurement from the specified points and match them
against the sizing chart below:
Below Knee = cC (widest part of calf), cB (narrowest point above
the ankle bone) and L-Z (foot length)
Thigh Length = cG (Measure thigh circumference 5cm below gluteal
fold), cC (widest part of calf), cB (narrowest point above the ankle
bone).
